aboutGOLF is excited to announce the format of our 2022/2023 Ryder Cup Sim Series Powered by aboutGOLF. We have made some exciting changes to this year’s competition to allow for participation from more of aG users all over the world. Our grand prize this year will be a trip for two to the 2023 Ryder Cup in Rome! And want to know the best part? It’s FREE for all aboutGOLF users to play!
So how does it work? Every month, aG Locker users will have access to a closest to the pin competition from any connected aG Sim. They’ll get five shots on a different iconic Ryder Cup Venue each month. The person who puts it closest each month will be that month’s qualifier and win a trip to our in person final event to play for the grand prize. In addition, one lucky participant each month will be our special Captain's Pick. That means we’ll have two winners per month from September-February who will compete in person for a trip to Rome!
What’s the schedule? The following courses and holes will be played each month:
· September: Bethpage, 14
· October: Gleneagles, 10
· November: Hazeltine, 17
· December: Le Golf National, 2
· January: Kiawah, 17
· February: Whistling Straits, 12
The final event will be played in person, at a location to be announced soon, with 9 holes of CTP play on a custom Ryder Cup Challenge course. The course will consist of 9 Ryder Cup holes from iconic venues from past and future Ryder Cups. We’ll use our challenge scoring system to score the competition. Nine shots will stand between our contestants and trip to the 2023 Ryder Cup.
